Before we discuss about the Chinese New Year, it would be better if we first understand the Chinese New Year itself.
Chinese New Year is the most important event for Chinese people. In 104 BC, Emperor Wu Yong Ming who ruled during the Han Dynasty set month 1 as the beginning of the year until now. In the Gregorian calendar, Chinese New Year falls on a different date each year, between January 21 and February 20.
